But in our fast-paced, mind-focused world, it’s easy to overlook the subtle (and not-so-subtle) messages our energetic body is sending.

When your energy is out of alignment or trying to guide you, it often shows up through physical sensations, emotions, or repeated patterns. Learning to listen to these signs can help you catch imbalances early and stay in energetic flow. This is not always easy, and often when we do experience any of the below, we tend to write them off. We tell ourselves we don't have time to deal with this now, or it will pass quickly. However, ignoring these signs can often lead to worse problems down the road (and I will caveat this by saying that if you are experiencing any prolonged conditions or any symptoms that conern you, to seek the advice of a medical professional).

Here are 10 signs your energy is trying to get your attention, and what you can do about it.

1. You Feel Foggy, Drained, or Scattered: Mental fuzziness, lack of focus, or feeling like you’re “not all there” may mean your energy is scattered, ungrounded, or depleted. This is especially common for empaths or highly sensitive people.

What to do: Ground your energy with deep breathing, the classic 'roots' meditation, focusing on your root chakra, walking barefoot on the earth, or using grounding crystals like hematite or black tourmaline.

2. You’re Constantly Tired Despite Rest: If you’re sleeping enough but still feel exhausted, your energy could be overworked, or perhaps you are absorbing others’ emotions, or processing unhealed wounds.

What to do: Try energetic clearing or cleansing (smudging, Reiki, sound healing, etc.), reflect on where you may be giving too much and reduce this, and create more energetic boundaries.

3. You’re Irritable, Anxious, or Overreactive: Sudden mood swings, overreactions, or feeling constantly “on edge” may be a sign your emotional energy is overloaded or misaligned.

What to do: Journal to release emotions, take breaks from stimulation (including social media), or perform a clearing or cleansing activity.

4. You Keep Experiencing the Same Patterns: Repetitive challenges in relationships, money, or health may not be coincidence - they often point to energetic imprints or blocks asking to be healed.

What to do: Work with a healer or use self-healing tools like EFT, shadow work, or chakra balancing to uncover and shift root causes.

5. You Feel Disconnected from Yourself: When your energy is misaligned, you may feel numb, disconnected, or like you’re living on autopilot. It’s your spirit calling you home.

What to do: Make time for stillness and self-care. Meditate, breathe, connect to your heart space, and return to practices that nourish your soul. Take time out to do those activities you enjoy and pamper yourself.

6. You Absorb Others’ Moods Easily: If you feel emotionally hijacked around others or take on their stress, your energy field may be too open, or you’re not protecting your aura.

What to do: Visualize a protective energy shield surrounding you, cleanse your space regularly, and practice energy detachment rituals like cord cutting.

7. You Have Physical Aches with No Clear Cause: Unexplained aches—especially in the shoulders, chest, or stomach—can be physical manifestations of energetic congestion or emotional residue. Again, these could also be indicative of a medical issue, so do seek out advice from a medical professional.

What to do: Tune into your body: What is it trying to express? Combine body-based practices like breathwork or energy healing with emotional awareness.

8. Your Intuition Feels Dull or Blocked: Struggling to hear your inner voice or feel disconnected from your intuitive gifts may mean your third eye or crown chakra is blocked, or you are so overworked or stressed that you are ignoring the messages it is giving.

What to do: Practice stillness through meditation, take some time out in nature, and try intuitive journaling or working with crystals such as amethyst or clear quartz.

9. You're Stuck in Overthinking or Indecision: Constant mental loops and inability to act often point to unbalanced energy, especially in the solar plexus (willpower) or crown (spiritual clarity) chakras (if you work with chakras).

What to do: Move your body to shift stagnant energy. Try breathwork, dancing, yoga, or a chakra visualization to activate decision-making energy.

10. You Keep Getting “Nudges” or Synchronicities: Recurring numbers, dreams, animals, or symbols are often your energy field - and your guides - trying to get your attention.

What to do: Pause and reflect: What might life be trying to show you? If you practice any divination method, such as tarot, you could use this to help uncover the message being sent to you.

Your energy is always speaking. The more you practice tuning in, the easier it becomes to stay balanced, clear, and connected. If something feels “off” but you can’t explain it - trust that’s enough of a reason to slow down and check in. Energy whispers before it shouts. Listen now, and you’ll save yourself from burnout, breakdowns, or bigger life shakeups later.

How Guided Meditations Can Aid in Healing

https://www.modernenergyhealing.co.uk/modern-energy-healing-blog/how-guided-meditations-can-aid-in-healing

https://www.modernenergyhealing.co.uk/modern-energy-healing-blog/how-guided-meditations-can-aid-in-healing#comments

Uncategorized

Healing is a holistic journey that touches the mind, body, and spirit. One powerful tool to support this journey is guided meditation. Whether you’re dealing with physical pain, emotional wounds, wanting to heal energy blocks, or seeking spiritual growth, guided meditations can be a gentle and easy way to promote healing from within. I love guided meditation; I write my own guided meditations which I record and put on my Youtube channel every 1st and 15th of the month (which you can find by clicking here) and I have an ebook of guided meditations I have written which is available for purchase for Amazon Kindle here.

Guided meditation involves listening to someone, either in person or via a recording that provides verbal instructions—often including visualization, breathing exercises, and body awareness cues. This guidance helps you quiet your mind, release tension, access deeper states of consciousness, shift your own mindset, and connect with your inner wisdom or healing energies (amongst many other benefits). If you struggle with 'silent' meditation, guided meditation can often be easier as the voice of the person speaking and the visualisations included give something to focus on.

You can find a guided meditation for literally any intention these days. I have used guided meditations to help me with reiki attunements, for past life regression, for healing my chakras, improving my confidence, and everything inbetween. With so many out there, how do you choose which is best for you? Here are some tips for finding your perfect guided meditation:

1. Identify your need/intention:
With so much choice out there, it is important to ensure that you have defined exactly what it was you want out of the meditation. Are you looking to heal a specific chakra? Are you looking to clear stagnant energy through getting in touch with your creative expression? Do you struggle to verbally communicate your needs? Understanding exactly what it is that you are trying to achieve is a very important first step.

2. Determine how long you want to meditate for:
Guided meditations come in various lengths; some can be as short as a minute, others can be over an hour long. Decide on how much time you have to dedicate to a meditation, but also how long you feel comfortable meditating for. I personally prefer 'little and often', and will often look for ones which are between 10 and 20 minutes long. It is also worth bearing in mind that for guided meditations to be most effective, you will need to listen to them more than once. So make sure you choose a guided meditation of a length that allows you to keep focus and repeat it on a regular basis.

3. Work out which styles you prefer:
Guided meditations come in all shapes and sizes. Some are very heavy on visualisation, which I love, but some people can struggle with visualisation. Some guided meditations focus on the 'narrator' repeating mantras over and over again. Some will have background music, some won't. If you struggle with visualisation, for example, you may prefer a meditation which has you focus more on repeating mantras. Make sure you choose a guided meditation that suits your personal meditation style.

Another aspect I would like to mention as a part of this, is make sure you find a meditation spoken by someone with a voice you personally find soothing! Nothing is worse than being distracted when the speaker pronounces a word in a way which grates you, or trying to meditate to an obviously AI generated voice (for me personally).

4. Consider the visualisations and what resonates best with you:
I have listened to guided meditations that focus on 'natural' landscapes such as forests, fields, waterfalls, etc., as their setting for the visualisation. On the opposite end of the scale, I have also tried guided meditations that have you walking around a city, or riding on a train. As someone who lives in the city and has to ride the train regularly to get about, I don't find these sorts of visualisations relaxing! I much prefer ones which are focused around the natural world. So if you are looking for guided meditations which are more visualisation heavy, then also consider what types of visualisation you wish to engage with.

There are plenty of places that you can find guided meditations, many of them for free. You can try audio streaming services such as Spotify or Sounds Cloud, or look at video platforms such as Youtube. There are plenty of books and websites offering guided meditations, or you could even look into your local community and see if anyone is offering 'in person' sessions.

If you are struggling to find a guided meditation that suits your needs, you can always try creating your own. You could write your own, and then record it yourself or ask a friend to. There are several online services offering voice recordings you could use if you don't like the sound of your own voice! There are also plenty of websites offering royalty free music you could use in the background, and free editing software which makes it quite simple to combine all of this into one, guided meditation audio track.

Guided meditations are quite a simple, easy, and flexible tool to incorporate into your energy healing. You can use them on yourself, or in a group session. I find that amongst the many energy healing methods out there, guided meditation is one which is often overlooked because of its simplicity. However, it can be very rewarding once you have found a guided meditation you feel comfortable sticking with, and so next time you are looking to perform some healing, perhaps give guided meditations a go!

Ways of Practicing Reiki Every Day

https://www.modernenergyhealing.co.uk/modern-energy-healing-blog/ways-of-practicing-reiki-every-day

https://www.modernenergyhealing.co.uk/modern-energy-healing-blog/ways-of-practicing-reiki-every-day#comments

Uncategorized

There is a lot of discussion as to whether Reiki is a 'method' or a whether it is more than that. Some do see it as something they engage with when they need to perform a healing, and that is about as much interaction they have with it. However, others (myself included) see it as something more; it is a spiritual practice that can greatly enhance our lives, with principles, pillars, and other exercises we can incorporate into our everyday lives.

I believe that Reiki doesn’t have to be a separate “event” in our day - it can weave naturally into our life. Below are some very simple activities you can try to help you foster this connection. By intentionally practicing even one or two of these daily, you’ll strengthen your connection to Reiki and become more effective with your healings.

1. Start the Day with Self-Treatment: Dedicate a few minutes each morning to place your hands on your body and channel Reiki to yourself. Focus on the main hand positions - head, heart, and solar plexus - and breathe deeply. This sets a calm, balanced tone for the rest of your day.

2. Recite the Reiki Principles: Say the Five Reiki Precepts aloud or silently every morning. As you do, really focus on each one and how you will embody it as you go through your day:

Just for today, I will not be angry.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will be grateful.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.

These affirmations reinforce mindfulness and intention.

3. Send Distance Reiki: Use the distance healing symbol (if you are attuned to Level II or above) to send Reiki to loved ones, global events, or even your future self. Just a few minutes can make a meaningful impact.

4. Offer Reiki to Pets or Plants: Animals and plants respond beautifully to Reiki. Spend a few quiet moments each day offering gentle healing to your furry friends or tending to your houseplants with intentional energy. I personally love sending it to my plants, and have definitely bought a couple back from the brink of death with Reiki!

5. Incorporate Reiki Into Meditation or Prayer: While meditating or praying, activate Reiki in your hands and allow the energy to flow. Or, visualise yourself taking Reiki in through your crown chakra. This can deepen your spiritual practice and help you access intuitive insights.

6. Remember to Use Reiki During Stressful Moments: Feeling anxious? Pause, place your hands over your heart or solar plexus, and invite Reiki to bring calm and clarity. This becomes a powerful tool for emotional regulation and self-care.

7. Clear and Charge Your Space: Send Reiki to your home, office, or any physical space to clear negative energy and promote harmony. You can do this by placing your hands on walls, furniture, or simply visualizing the flow of energy. Remember, our external environment can have a direct impact on our internal energy, so make sure you are keeping on top of the cleaning and the tidying!

8. Infuse Reiki Into Creative Work: Whether you're painting, writing, cooking, or gardening, let Reiki flow through your hands as you create. This enhances the energy of your work and aligns it with your highest intentions.

9. End the Day with Gratitude and Reiki: Before bed, give yourself a short Reiki treatment to unwind. Reflect on the day with gratitude and send Reiki to any lingering thoughts or feelings. This promotes peaceful sleep and emotional healing. I personally channel Reiki and visualise it surrounding my body as I sleep, almost as if I am in some sci-fi movie and the Reiki is like a cryogenic pod.

There are so many ways to bring Reiki into your everyday life. Think about your current routine and where there may be moments you can bring your practice into your life. By focusing on incorporating it into your routine rather than trying to add it in on top of your routine, you are more likely to embed these habits permanently.
